Schools remain closed in Las Vegas after a record-setting snowfall blanketed the area. The National Weather Service says 3.6 inches fell at McCarran International Airport. (Dec. 18)

3.6 inches?!?… i live in toronto, and as im typeing this there is a huge snowstorm ( 60mile an hour winds, more then 20cm of snow) lol… i just walked home from school!!! and their closing schools over 3.6 inches???

3.6in I know it’s nothing compared to east coast. I live in LV, but originally from NY. See the thing is people out here don’t know how to drive in snow and sleet. We don’t have snow plows, very few have a shovel on hand. They may have jumped the gun canceling school, but I think kids would be getting ran over left and right trying to cross the streets. Vegans don’t know how to drive in snow and sleet, lol

First, lol. Well, we’re used to snow here in Sweden, but I can understand that it is kinda strange that in snows in Vegas, Didn’t they say global warming? haha..
