Stone Temple Pilots Down (Live From Las Vegas)
DENIS
Oh, I’m happy you mentioned that. I was wondering what he was going to do after he ditched Velvet Revolver–wait, did he ditch them, or did they ditch him?
No that’s Eric Kretz drumming. He’s always been the stp drummer. Before they were STP however, it was david allen drumming, but then again, they weren’t part of the national music scene at that point yet.
Scott Weiland has an excellent voice. He’s lived out many of his contemporaries too considering his lifestyle, and now back with STP permanently! Gotta catch ‘em in concert.
The first time they played it live….holy $hit! This is awesome footage! I never grow tired of seeing these guys. They’re everything a rock band should be. I anxiously await their next contribution to music.
Is that Ray Luzier drumming? Is he original STP drummer?
this was an amazing performance for them! every things top notch from the vocals guitar bass drumms..everything
Anyone know how to get that bass sound? its fucking mean…
oh my good 20 visit one day
stp rock onnnnnnnnnnn
i love the live version
the album version is my second fave song
but this is unique and sounds sweet in a totally different way
perhaps a little volume lift ? dunno, I feel like especially the intro riff the bass overshadows the guitar by just a bit. on the album version the guitar is pretty saturated, and i dont feel they were really going for a bluesy sound for this tune . but for most STP tunes i agree. just an opinion of course : )
a bit more crunch?!?!!? It’s supposed to be like that. More bluesy…less distortion is is better for this band…actually makes it heavier.
badass, but could have used a bit more crunch from dean.
i wonder do they change up the song lineup for each show theres a few it would be sweet to hear like prunoand unglued, even and so i know would be good to hear!
wow this song sounds great live - just unbearably awesome
That’s a good thing bro. Meth is fucked. I lost about 5 years and most of my friends to it. Go back to the earth and stick with the green stuff that mother nature has provided us. That man-made **** will do you in! and oh yeah, STP rocks! -Jimi-
Its a CD/DVD combo of ” Thank You”, their greatest hits cd.
