Penny slot machines. You can stay on there for a while, while it racks up points

Good luck!!

Acquiring actual gambling comp points is not easy in Las Vegas especially at the Strip Casinos. If you are a slot player make sure you join the unified slot club. This is one slot club that serves several properties and any action you provide in any of them counts. I joined at Monte Carlo. For table gamers, if you play at the $25 level for at least four hours you may earn a ticket to the buffet. At the $100 level four hours may get you a free night but you must ask for these things.

The best I know of for comps is the Stratosphere but all the comps come through the club, not the pit bosses. Make sure you get the card and always use it, even at table games. They are pretty generous even at the $10 level. The slot club is pretty fair for cash-back but excellent for rooms, tower passes and meals.

Good Luck!

NUMBER 1 - Come to LV for fun
NUMBER 2 - Gamble for the fun and for win.
NUMBER 3 - Only gamble what you can afford to lose.
NUMBER 4 - Do NOT play for the comps.
NUMBER 5 - Do NOT gamble when you are intoxicated
NUMBER 6 - Always save back what I call “going home $” so not to go home broke.

Comps are not given out easily. There are reserved for high rollers (whales) and repeat customers. You can join a players club and gambled at one resort and may “earn” a comp, like a free dinner. But don’t expect much because you get one point for every $15 played on a slot and you have to play at least $15 each hand on a table for hours and hours.

I would NOT count on a comp on The Strip.

To get the most out of Vegas for the least amount of money, DON’T try to get comps, just pay for everything yourself. You will always lose more gambling then you get comped.

If you want a beer, just pay the $5, don’t gamble $100.
If you want a meal, just pay the $100, don’t gamble $1000.
If you want a room, just pay the $200, don’t gamble $5000!

Chris A is absolutely right. But if your looking for comps you have to go the the casinos “players club” and sign up for a card that keeps track of your gambling. The card is free and use it everytime you gamble, give it to every new dealer you see.

Its all about the $$$$.

You could be the nicest, most charming person on earth and it doesnt mean you are going to get any comps in Vegas. Likewise, you could a nasty unfriendly jerk but if you are gambling big bucks you will get some comps.

In general, the cheaper casinos are much quicker to throw out the free-bees. But at the nicer strip casinos you will need to be betting hundereds of dollards at a time before you even get noticed.

To get the most out of Las Vegas for the least.

You need to know
#1 - What to play
#2 - How to play
#3 - Where to play
#4 - How to manage your bankroll

You cannot do one and not the other, each of the 4 is just as important as the next, “IF” you want to get the most out of LV for the least.

IMO video poker is the only way to go. There are video poker games that “in the long run” payback over 100% “IF” you play correctly.

It has been my experience that comps are much better for slot/video poker play than they are for table games play.

The goal is to find a casino you like, that has the game(s) you like to play, and, treat you well at your level of play.

9/6 JOB - 99.54%
107 DB - 100.2%
JWKOB - 100.6%
FPDW - 100.7%

Add that % to slot club “cash back” & incentives.

Where to find the best video poker in LV and a rundown on each casinos slot club.

Gambling info

Play with “match play” & or “free play” coupons, it’s tough to lose when you’re playing with “their” money.

Always sign up for and use slot club cards if you are going to play. There is no such thing as “I don’t play enough”.

Concentrate your play - There are many casinos in Las Vegas(sister properties) that will accept the same slot club card. You are far better off playing 10 hours at one casino as apposed to playing 1 hour in 10. When you sign up for the slot club you may ask for as many cards as you like, you can have one person playing on each account or both of you can play on one.
