Charlie asked:

Me and a friend are coming to Las Vegas in february, however my friend does not like reptiles. Is it common to see them walking round the las vegas strip?

You will NOT see any reptiles. They are way out in the natural desert, not near traffic, buildings or people, so your friend can relax. Besides February is winter and reptiles hyberate in the winter.

No way will you see much of any wildlife except for possibly a bird or two. They know what is healthy for them and stay away from the strip. The further from the strip the better the chances of seeing any. I lived near UNLV for awhile and saw geckos all the time. Then when I moved out to the desert area they got a lot bigger and more frequent. Not to worry. You won’t see any.

Reptiles will not be on the streets in February, they don’t like the colder weather!

You won’t see them in any populated areas. The closest thing is if you go to something like the Cactus Garden out in Henderson and you *might* see a gecko scurry along. But even that’s rare.
