totally love it. Cyd Charisse what a talent!
I dont know where you’re from, but British society I dont think can get any lower. Example - a few days ago a teenager jumped to his death after a crowd decided it would be fun to encourage him to jump then fought each other for morbid pictures of the body.
I kind of wish I was around in the age of sophistication and manners.
True indeed….I dont know how western culture has allowed for its golden era to be flushed down the drain…musicals or reality shows..musicals or reality shows…I pick musicals everytime…I watch this video everyday, its soooooooo inspiring. This type of art changes the world for the better…all I see is talent and beauty.
According to IMDB, Johnny is played by Bill Chatham and I’m guessing the sheriff was played by Casse Jaegar - as he’s listed as Dancing partner - ‘Frankie and Johnny’ number (uncredited).
Does anybody know who the names are of the other dancers (Johnny and the lady in green)?
completely captivated. Greetings from Delaware
I agree. I think it is because our Western culture has changed for the worse: we have become infantile, wanting quick and easy solutions and instant gratification without thought or effort. This is reflected in our politicians, our education and our morals.
Very few popular films and plays nowadays are without some gratuitous violence. Even our humour is cruel.
(or perhaps I’m just a grumpy old man!)
I don’t think the ammount of talent has gone down with the generations, I just think the quality of the actual material has gone down. There are some extremely talented people out there today, it’s just the material they are doing is either badly written, or has terrible direction.
i agree with anonnemus!
perfect! this is amazing..
does the amount of talent go down as generations go by? surely i haven’t seen anything close to this! AMAZING!!
was this all filmed in one take? i cant even imagine the amount of practice they went through for it!
